We started the expedition on the morning of the 2nd, we left Itatiaia and headed for Intervales State Park, but we deviated a bit from the route and went in search of pictures of a bird that is at risk of extinction (first photo below). After getting some good photos, we headed towards the south of the state of São Paulo, but precisely the city of Ribeirão Grande SP, which is right after Capão Bonito SP. We arrived late already, so our birding started the next day. On the morning of the second day we met Betinho who is a local monitor authorized by the park to access the park’s trails and also lead tourists to the caves. We were photographing birds in the park for 4 days, but the sun really came out on the last day. The weather got in the way a little, but we were able to see and photograph many birds according to the photos below.
