Thiago called me and said he wanted to come to Serra da Bocaina to take good pictures of the Speckle-breasted Antpitta, taking advantage of the good moment when he is collaborating very well for pictures. But he would only have Saturday for this little bird. So I went to the city of Barra Mansa RJ at 03:30 in the morning to pick him up, we started the birdwatching at daybreak, we went straight to Serra da Bocaina. But along the way I stopped in search of some lifers for Thiago.
We had the objective of going to Itatiaia National Park in the afternoon but we were prevented by heavy rains.
