During the days 20 and 21 of August of 2018 I was able to show some birds of the region of the National Park of the Itatiaia to the friend Pedro Junqueira, were two days divided between the low part, the high part and still with owls observation by the city of Resende RJ.

On the first day we checked the inn for a coffee and soon afterwards we went to the lower part of the park, a place with many new species for Pedro.

Who appeared well for photos were the couple of robust woodpecker, Fork-tailed Pygmy-Tyrant, Black-throated Trogon and we even had one over Black Hawk-Eagle catch. Another one that also collaborated was theFrilled Coquette that is the smallest kissing flower of Brazil and second smaller of the world, losing this position for the Bee-Cuban Colibri or Mellisuga helenae that is a species of hummingbird that is endemic of the dense forests and forests on the main island of Cuba. As night fell, we left the Itatiaia National Park towards Resende, a nearby town to try to photograph the Mottled Owl. We arrived at the place during the day and waited for dark and soon she gave the faces to Pedro and I make great photos, it did not take 3 minutes, rssss.

The next day we went after the cafe to the upper part of the park to observe and photograph the birds at altitude, which varies from 1600m to 2450m. One of the highlights was the Green-crowned Plovercrest that has a very nice tuft and a shade of blue on the chest and the tuft that give a prominence to the hummingbird. Pedro also photographed on this day the Black-and-gold Cotinga, Shear-tailed Gray Tyrant, the  dreaded Mouse-colored Tapaculo, bird that does not have the habit of presenting itself and not of being long time stopped, Greenish Tyrannulet, Brassy-breasted Tanager, Rufous-tailed Antbird, Short-tailed Hawk, Buff-throated Warbling-Finch, Bay-chested Warbling-Finch, Diademed Tanager, Thick-billed Saltator and a lot of birds.

follows some photos made in those two days.
