During the days 25 to 27 of May the 1st Workshop was held by Hudson Martins Soares (BirdsRio Birdwatching) in partnership with brothers Daniel and Gabriel Mello. It was 3 days where the participants could photograph several birds of the Atlantic Forest within the first national park of Brazil, the National Park of Itatiaia. Among the birds photographed during the workshop I highlight the following: Such’s Antthrush, Shear-tailed Gray Tyrant, blue dacnis, Brazilian Tanager, Chestnut-bellied Seed-Finch, Green-headed Tanager, Brassy-breasted Tanager, Scaly-headed Parrot, Blue-winged Macaw, Sharpbill, Dusky-legged Guan, Magpie Tanager, Red-breasted Toucan, Saffron Toucanet, Red-rumped Cacique, Golden-winged Cacique, Olive-green Tanager, Chestnut-bellied Euphonia, Black-goggled Tanager, Ruby-crowned Tanager, Rufous-collared Sparrow, Bananaquit, Blue-billed Black-Tyrant, Velvety Black-Tyrant, White-throated Spadebill, Surucua Trogon, Cliff Flycatcher, White-barred Piculet, White-browed Woodpecker, Greenish Schiffornis, Sepia-capped Flycatcher, Black-capped Screech-Owl, Tawny-browed Owl, Eared Pygmy-Tyrant, Spix’s Spinetail, Long-tailed Tyrant, Slaty-breasted Wood-Rail, Rufous-capped Motmot, Planalto Woodcreeper, Olivaceous Woodcreeper, White-throated Woodcreeper, Great Kiskadee, Social Flycatcher, White-browed Warbler, Saffron Finch among many others. Bird photography focused on the morning and evening periods. During the afternoon the participants were headed to the convention center where the Mello Brothers ministered about image processing in Lightroom and Photoshop.
